Tuesday, September 25, 2018 is the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. EMIR will launch a new Billboard campaign, Speak for the 26, that is dedicated to unsolved crimes.
These are the 26 photos and names of victims whose crimes are currently unsolved.
My son Yasir Hopkins was murdered on 7/24/18 . So frustrated no one knows anything and police seem like they don’t care.. Yasir is important to me
My little brother Luis M. Feliciano was murdered on Dec.1,2013 at the age of 19. No one has reached out to us with anything. No leads or questions. UNSOLVED MURDER. No calls from the detectives!
Shelton was a father of two teenage girls, he was as a uncle, brother, nephew, friend to a lot of people. He was murdered three days after his 39th Birthday someone came into our home and took his life. He had never been in trouble with the law. He had no criminal background. Shelton loved to have a great time, education was everything to him.
My son Durrell David Miller was murdered on October 29, 2018. It is very frustrating to know or feel like the minute I walked out the office from picking up some not all but some of his personal effects, the detective forgot all about him. No updates are ever given. No phone calls to update about the case. No questioning of people that were with him. NOTHING!
Excuse me Mr. detectives but our kids matter too. #SAYTHEIRNAMES
